Jesy’s ideal for a collab
SEAN PAUL SAYS CALL ME SOON
JESY Nelson could turn to Sean Paul for her next collaboration.
The former Little Mix star enjoyed major success with debut hit Boyz featuring Nicki Minaj.
Now dancehall legend Sean has offered her his services for the follow-up. He told me: “She’s cool, if she does reach out I’ll be happy and I’m waiting here if the song’s dope.”
Sean has history with what he called “cool girls” Little Mix, scoring a collaborative hit with Jesy’s ex-bandmates on 2016 single Hair.
The Jamaican is no stranger to hook-ups with UK artists either, telling me: “I do have a song with Rita Ora, another reggae one-drop song that might go on a reggae album one day.
Its produced by Don Corleon one of my original producers.”
For now, Sean is focused on his next solo album Scorcha, which features another UK starlet. He told me: “I have a song with Raye, below, coming out on my new album. She’s dope, I’ve done songs with her before, and we have another reggae one-drop song – I’m gonna keep that one.
“The one we have on this album called How We Do It, and I’m looking for greatness for her. Her voice is amazing and she writes great songs.”
The album also includes his current single Dynamite, featuring Sia.
He said: “Its a dope album, more internationally put together in terms of production and songwriting.
“Me and Sia had a No1 song before, so I’m looking for another one with her. And I got Stylo G and Damian Marley, big Jada Kingdom on there. And Tove Lo
and Gwen Stefani
on there, too. “Dancehall keeps evolving and keeps me feeling young. Music keeps me in a blissful place.”
