LIAM’S BOTTLED IT ALREADY SAYS EUBANK

- By CHRIS MCKENNA

CHRIS EUBANK JNR warned Liam Williams he has “dug his grave” with his social media outbursts.

And he labelled the Welshman a “bottle job” for failing to repeat his taunts when they faced off at yesterday’s press conference in London.

Williams, 29, talked himself into a clash by taunting Eubank on social media.

They will settle their rivalry in a middleweight battle at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on December 11.

“He’s said a lot of reckless things online,” said Eubank Jnr. “It doesn’t sit well with me at all.

“He’s a keyboard warrior. I said he has got a big mouth but he just has big thumbs. “I said coming up here he was going to bottle it and he is a bottle job.

“But he’s put me in a mindset that this is a personal situation, it’s only going to be bad for him.

“Most of the time it isn’t personal, most of the time it is business but when you attack someone the way he’s attacked me, then it can’t be anything other than personal.

“He’s dug his grave and now he’s going to lie in it.” Eubank Jnr will head to away territory in an intriguing domestic duel.

His father Chris Snr was never afraid to go to enemy turf, crossing the Irish Sea to take on Steve Collins twice in Cork. Those fights did not go well but his son has no fear of a hostile atmosphere.

“I just built up a tolerance for bull **** , for hostility for being the bad guy and the underdog and everyone doubting me,” said Eubank Jnr.

Williams comes into the fight on the back of a failed world title crack against WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade.

He attacked Eubank’s eccentric dress sense, dubbing him “an absolute clown” for not removing his sunglasses inside.

Eubank Jnr is hoping victory next month will seal a shot against Gennady Golovkin (inset).

The Kazak KO star takes on Ryota Murata later in December for the IBF and WBA titles and Eubank wants to bring the winner to his hometown of Brighton.

He added: “Wouldn’t that be great? That’s what dreams are made of.”
