I’ve got my figure & my mojo back

KEL COOKS UP A REAL FEAST

- ■ by JAMES MOORE

CURVY Kelly Brook admits she lost her mojo during lockdown.

The model and TV star explains: “I definitely had hard times during the pandemic where I felt tired and lost my mojo a little bit.

“I had times when I let my healthy habits slip and as a result I gained weight.”

Kelly went up to a size 14 during the first lockdown due to the temptations of being at home near the fridge.

But the 41-year-old says she’s in a “really good place” again, adding: “It didn’t take long to regain focus and right now I feel in the best shape of my life – happier, healthier and more confident than ever.”

Fuel

She has focused on being positive and tucking into “tasty, nutritious food” rather than simply shedding the pounds.

Kelly says: “I’m happy maintaining my weight using the SlimFast 3.2.1. Plan.

“Looking back, I never embarked on a journey to lose weight because I wanted to be a specific size or reach a certain milestone on the scales.

“Food can fuel your happy hormones, and getting the right balance in terms of nutrients, calories and the foods you enjoy can go a long way to boosting your wellbeing.

“I’ve learned to love and respect my body and I think having a more accepting and healthy attitude to our shape is key to our long-term health.”

She is turning up the heat in the kitchen with her new “pinup” cookery calendar aimed at helping fans stay in shape.

It features her favourite dishes including recipes for comfort foods such as burgers, curries, lasagne and beef bourguignon – which all come in at 600 calories or fewer.

She explains: “I thought it was time to show that losing or maintaining your weight does not mean deprivation and denying yourself real food. I love cooking and eating!”

The Masked Dancer star, who shares homes in London and Kent with her Italian model boyfriend Jeremy Parisi, has a relaxed attitude to diet.

She adds: “I sometimes do

Veganuary, but I have a love of all foods and I don’t think people should deprive themselves.

“I normally eat my main meal at lunchtime during the week because my radio show goes on into the evening.

Roast

“My main meal could be anything. I do eat a lot of Italian because of Jeremy but I also eat stir fries, casseroles, steaks, burgers. Then on the weekend, I won’t go without a roast!”

Kelly has SlimFast shakes in the morning and evening, and enjoys the odd glass of red wine with her Sunday dinner.

She is keen on maintaining her fitness too: “I’d say walking is probably my main form of exercise. I’m out and about all the time with my dog Teddy.”

She recommends it to combat festive excesses, saying: “Try and get a daily walk in among all the indulgence!” ●Kelly has created a series of new SlimFast recipes to provide culinary inspiration with her favourite, seasonal, 600-calorie dishes. Visit slimfast.co.uk.
