JOE’S UP TO GIANT CHALLENGE

- Interview by CHRIS McKENNA

JOE JOYCE will show why he’s world heavyweight champion in waiting tonight.

But he faces a stern challenge in taking on China’s Zhilei Zhang at the Copper Box.

Joe is not one who is afraid to face tough tests and when he wins tonight he will be demanding another one straight away.

Daniel Dubois is next in line for a shot against WBA, WBO and IBF title holder Oleksandr Usyk but Joe will be up for the winner of that. If Anthony

Joshua (left) fancies a rumble with his old amateur team-mate, then his team know my number.

Joe is ready and willing to take on all challenges.

There’s not many much bigger – quite literally – than 6ft 6in monster Zhang.

When you see Joshua taking on the likes of Jermaine Franklin, you really have to doff your cap to Joe for wanting this one.

He could have said to us to get him a knockover job but he wants to entertain the fans and they will get a hell of a show tonight.

It’s a great card in London with the British middleweight title on the line between Denzel Bentley and Kieran Smith, while rising lightweight star Sam Noakes is in a Commonwealth clash with Karthik Sathish Kumar.

Former world champion Mikaela Mayer has jetted in from the US to get back to winning ways but she’s in a tough fight with Lucy Wildheart.

Then there’s the talented teen who will be the heavyweight king in the future in Moses Itauma as he enters the ring for his third fight this year.

He hasn’t got out of the first round yet with his explosive power. Blink and you’ll miss it.

WATCH Joyce v Zhang live on BT Sport tonight.
