SON TO SHINE ON DERBY DAY

Spurs skipper can land a title blow

- By STEVE ANDERSON

THE Premier League title race could throw up some more twists this weekend as the three contenders keep up the chase for the crown.

There have been surprise results in recent weeks involving Liverpool and Arsenal as they try to stop Manchester City from claiming a fourth consecutive top-flight crown.

And Tottenham and West Ham could be the next side to throw a spanner in the works and leave City with a free run to the silverware.

Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs side are more than capable of knocking Arsenal’s challenge off course tomorrow as they chase their own objective of a fourth-place finish.

And stuttering Liverpool, with three defeats in five games, have another tough trip to face David Moyes’ Hammers and certainly don’t appeal at odds of around 1-2.

Meanwhile 3-10 shots City have a relatively easier task at Nottingham Forest tomorrow, even though the home side are fighting to preserve their top-flight status.

Taking the north London derby first, Spurs are a big 67-20 with BetMGM for the home win, with the draw at 16-5 with bet365 and a Gunners victory at 21-25 with Unibet.

I reckon Spurs will take something from this and so can’t be ignored at 11-10 with Sky Bet to win or draw.

Given Postecoglou’s side still have something to play for, I’d throw caution to the wind and back them to beat Mikel Arteta’s men.

Arsenal have not conceded away from home in their last six league trips but the north London affair generally throws up goals and Tottenham’s last 12 homes games have all produced three or more goals with both sides scoring. Therefore it makes sense to take Sky Bet’s 5-1 that Tottenham win the game and both teams score.

I’d go for a 2-1 home victory, which will pay out at 14-1 with bet365 and Betfred.

Spurs forward Heung-Min Son is enjoying a good season with 15 league goals and nine assists. He hasn’t netted in the last three but after five goals for club and country in March, he must be due more.

He’s worth taking at 13-2 to get the game’s opening goal, while he’s also 15-8 to score at any time.

Sky Bet offer an enhanced 9-1 that both Son and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka find the net, which is worth considering.

Saka has a similar record to Son, with 14 league goals and nine assists, so there’s every chance both of them could do the business here.

If you’re unsure of the match result, then take Sky Bet’s Requestabet odds of 7-1 that both teams score, both earn two or more corners in each half and each side has 20-plus booking points.

Liverpool’s title hopes could suffer another dent at the London Stadium today.

West Ham have only one win in eight games in all competitions but I fancy them to snatch a draw at odds of around 4-1.

They’re also an attractive 13-8 on the Sky Bet double chance market to win or draw and I’d double them up with Spurs to do the same, which would pay just over 9-2.

Manchester City swept Brighton aside in midweek and should do the same at Forest.

I’d take Sky Bet’s 7-4 that City win and there are four or more goals in the game.
