www.vignobles-mayard.fr Edgy and youthful, with herbs, orchard fruit and a whiff of gunflint, then a suggestion of caramelised apple and an attractive backdrop of Provençal herbs. Drink 2017-2020 Alc 14% Domaine Roche Audran, Côtes du Rhône 2015 90 SF 90 LR 89 MW 91 £11.85

Christopher Piper A fascinating kerosene and greengage nose is the initial note. Sweet and sour red cherries are on the palate, as is a hint of golden apple.
