What I’ve been drinking this month
When I tasted the 2015 vintage of Bodega Bouza’s Albariño, at the winery’s restaurant near Montevideo, I was instantly transported to the shores of the Salnés, in Spain’s Rías Baixas. From a rainy harvest, this has a delicious creaminess that envelops the palate, but at the same time there are mineral tones, a juicy acidity and rich notes of white fruits. Try it now with seafood, but it will gain complexity with a few more years.
