The master blenders of Colchagua
Viña Estampa, in the heart of Colchagua, has focussed on making blended wines and striven for innovation since its beginnings. A faithful reflection of the human hand behind it.
Viña Estampa, a boutique winery dedicated to creating blended wines, has always had an eye for innovation thanks to the vision of owner and current president Miguel González, whose intense curiosity guides him on his continuous search for new challenges.
As a principle, Viña Estampa focuses on the Colchagua Valley and only works with its own vineyards, which gives them total control over the quality of the property, grape production, and ultimately, of course, the wine.
The owner’s restless personality has also led him to explore new sectors of the valley, such as Paredones, where grape production has only just begun. Estampa was the first to plant there, eight km from the Pacific coast, where the cold climate is ideal for white and cold-climate red wines.
Estampa has also planted vineyards in Marchigüe Alto, where the soils are rocky with a complex terroir structure.
Estampa winemaker Johana Pereira has vast experience in the valley and works with a team of renowned international consultants—Attilio Pagli, Pedro Parra, and Stefano Dini.
The distinguished Italian winemaker Attilio Pagli—who Decanter magazine named one of the world’s most influential winemakers in 2015—extends his services to wineries in numerous countries, although his work in Chile has been exclusively with Viña Estampa since 2008.
