I’m a big fan of the Michelini brothers. This wine sets the benchmark for the purity of fruit and potential of this place. These guys clearly go straight to the core of what Gualtallary means. Brilliant wine. 97 Drink 2017-2024

Susana Balbo, Signature Malbec, Altamira 2015

From a difficult vintage. Susana has been moving much of her fantastic portfolio to the Uco Valley in recent years. And once again, she uses her delicate hand to tease out those elements that define Altamira. Minty fresh, with a distinct medicinal character. Pure red fruits with a mineral and chalky mouthfeel. 97 Drink 2017-2025

I love this series of wines. Created to show the essential elements of terroir in the Uco Valley, it clearly works here. A pure and clear interpretation of all that’s great about Altamira. 97 Drink 2017-2027
