Col d’Orcia, meaning the hill overlooking the Orcia River, is located at the southern edge of the Brunello di Montalcino geographical limits. It is the largest organic farm in Tuscany, having gained the status back in 2010. Since then, these organic grapes are grown on the highest slopes of the property and the ageing process of three years takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels.

BB Still a touch reticent on the nose, yet elegant and spicy, with red fruit embellished by notes of tobacco leaf and dried herbs. Even, vertical and refined on the palate, with a clean, inviting finish.

MG Fragrant berry aromas with hints of tarragon and black pepper, ceding to a rounded palate with full, chunky fruit, while lithe tannins should ensure a promising future.

SH Soft, creamy sweet-oak spice aromas lead to a powerful yet uniform palate of cherry fruit, with a long-lingering finish. Seems young at present, but all the elements complement each other beautifully.

Drink 2020-2029 Alc 14.5%
