£87.50 Four Walls Wine Co A family property of 20ha set up by Umberto Salvioni, who studied agriculture and then decided he wanted to make wine for his friends. The first harvest was in 1985 and since then he has been joined by his son Giulio and children. At an altitude of 420m, soils vary from chalky schist to stoney marl, contributing to its microclimate. The winery focuses on quality, limiting production to 10,000 bottles a year.

BB Restrained nose of red fruit magnified by notes of wild red berries and crushed stones. Medium-bodied, layered and complex in the mouth, with a long, herbal finish.

MG Spicy bramble fruit aromas unveil fresh and juicy fruit on the palate, propelled by exquisitely poised acidity and ripe, graceful tannins. A real wow factor here.

SH A powerful, firmly structured style, with a subdued nose of dark cherry jam leading to a robust and chewy palate that’s showing pronounced tannins.
