Pyrene, No­ble Fine Liquor, The Solent Cellar, The Wine Tast­ing Shop, Vini Italiani Free-run juice spends eight months on its skins in am­phora. A hot year gave tex­tured, rich, ripe fruit with a nutty edge. While ro­bust, it also shows real el­e­gance and pre­ci­sion. De­cant for a few hours and en­joy at room tem­per­a­ture. Drink 2020-2023 Al­co­hol 12.5%

Fo­radori, Man­zoni Bianco, Vigneti delle Dolomiti 2016 93

£ 23.50-£ 23.99 Bedales, Les Caves de Pyrene, No­ble Fine Liquor, Vin Cog­nito Man­zoni Bianco is a cross be­tween Ries­ling and Pinot Blanc, and grapes are sourced from the Fon­tanas­anta vine­yards. This has del­i­cate white flower and stone fruit notes with the Pinot Blanc bring­ing tex­ture and creami­ness. Fo­cused and pre­cise with honey on the fin­ish. Serve cool but not cold. Drink 2020-2023 Alc 12.5%

Fo­radori, Morei Cilin­drica, Vigneti delle Dolomiti 2013 96 £ 35.49 (2015) Les Caves de

Pyrene A new pro­ject: Terold­ego from the hot, stoney Morei vine­yard. Made like Sgar­zon (be­low), but this spends an ex­tra year in am­phora with­out its skins. Rich, op­u­lent nose lifted by bright cherry. En­er­getic with a tan­nic struc­ture, but still pre­cise with great depth of fruit on the fin­ish. Only 350 bot­tles of the 2013 vin­tage were made, com­pared with 2,000 in 2016. Drink 2020-2030 Alc 12.5%

Fo­radori, Sgar­zon, Vigneti delle Dolomiti 2015 95

£ 29.20-£ 35.50 AG Wines, Exel, Le Che­va­lier, Les Caves de Pyrene Terold­ego cooler Sgar­zon sourced vine­yard from the on sandy his­toric, soil. Skin mac­er­a­tion in am­phora gives a vi­brant red cherry and flo­ral nose of great fresh­ness and min­er­al­ity. The full-bod­ied and multi-lay­ered palate is bal­anced by el­e­gance and pu­rity of fruit with a min­eral fin­ish. Drink 2020-2025 Alc 12.5%

Fo­radori, Terold­ego, Vigneti delle Dolomiti 2015 92 £ 20-£ 23.50 Bedales, Buon Vino,

Exel, Les Caves de Pyrene, Vin Cog­nito, Whole Foods Mar­ket From young Terold­ego vines sourced from 16 parcels. Fruit, 30% whole bunch, is fer­mented in con­crete tanks then aged half in oak, half con­crete. This is Fo­radori’s sig­na­ture wine: re­fresh­ing and juicy, with a pu­rity of dense red and black fruit, lifted vi­o­lets and a pep­pery edge mak­ing it de­li­ciously quaf­fa­ble. Drink 2017-2020 Alc 12.5%
