It is whole-cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel to keep a juicy, refreshing style. Drink 2019-2020 Alcohol 14% 2 Lagier Meredith, Syrah 2015 93 £48.50 The Sampler This striking wine is loaded with pepper and lavender aromas, and boasts a savoury, leather and spice, red-fruit richness on the palate that you might typically expect to find in wines from the northern Rhône.

Drink 2019-2026 Alc 14.5% 3 Lagier Meredith, Mondeuse 2015 93 £46 The Sampler This delicious wine is characterised by dark fruit and a lush, silky texture. Mondeuse is a close relative of Syrah, however this wine is brighter and more savoury than the Syrah. Drink 2019-2023 Alc 14.5% 4 Lagier Meredith, Tribidrag 2015 92 £ 20 Falcon Vintners Powerful and berryish, this epitomises an intense, briary mountain Zinfandel. Positively yummy, it brims with baking spices, such as cardamom, with dark fruit tones – and doesn’t show its 15% alcohol.

2010 92 US$60 www. lagiermeredith.com Made in a Port style, this all-Syrah sweet wine has more acidity and zing. Only two vintages, 2010 and a not-yet-released 2014, were made. Drink 2019-2028 Alc 18.5%
