Applicatio­n for takeaway pizza outlet

PAPA John’s has unveiled plans to open a new takeaway store in Derby.

Documents submitted to Derby City Council show the pizza takeaway firm wants to open a new outlet in Nottingham Road, Chaddesden.

If approved, the new takeaway could create up to 20 jobs and would open at the former William Hill bookmakers, shop which closed last year.

Currently Papa John’s has two takeaway outlets in Derby – one in Osmaston Road and the other at the Park Farm Shopping Centre in Allestree. Worldwide, it has 4,000 outlets in 36 countries.

Planning permission for the Chaddesden shop is sought from 11am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and bank holidays and from 11am to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.

A planning statement from Sanderson Weatherall, on behalf of Papa John’s, said: “The informatio­n provided with this applicatio­n demonstrat­es that the proposed change of use complies fully with the Developmen­t Plan.

“It also demonstrat­es that there are no material considerat­ions that indicate planning permission should be refused. It is therefore respectful­ly suggested that full planning permission should be granted for the proposed developmen­t.” more than 60 years and know that you’re never going to see them again.

“To hear how happy the family were after receiving this picture has really impacted us all and the letter that they sent was so lovely.

“The whole reason you become a nurse is to care for people and to have moments like this.

“To now know Mr Wilson’s son will have; not only this photo, but also the knowledge that his father saw his mother for a final time, will remain a significan­t memory for me.

“I like to treat all patients as if they were my family and I know that I would be extremely humbled knowing someone had done that for a relative of mine.”
