Police issue video of arrest over Intu bomb scare
TWO MEN HELD IN CUSTODY AFTER SEPARATE SWOOPS BY OFFICERS
DRAMATIC footage has been released of police arresting a man over a bomb scare at Derby’s Intu centre.
Police investigating a suspicious package left in the men’s toilets went to an address in Stenson Fields. Officers in white overalls were seen in Melliott Court at around 8.45am making an arrest and putting a man into the back of a police van.
At least four officers and two police vans were present. It was one of two arrests officers made yesterday in relation to the Intu incident.
The men, aged 24 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of placing an article with intent to cause damage or injury. They are both from Derby.

They are both from Derby and remain in police custody.
Reports first showed that a suspicious item had been found in the toilets near the food court, in Intu Derby at 7pm on August 21.
Intu remained closed overnight and was evacuated as a precaution.
Earlier this week, detectives released an unprecedented gallery of 57 images of people who had been in the area between 4.20pm and 7pm.
They are still keen to speak to anyone who is, or knows someone pictured in those images.
