7 charged with firearms offences after gunfire claim
SEVEN men have been charged with gun offences after an suspected attempted murder in Derby.
Police were called to Moorway Lane, Littleover on May 12, this year, after reports a gun had been fired during an argument between two groups of men.
The incident, which took place at around 6pm, led to a large police presence after they received “numerous reports” of gunshots. Officers closed a section of Moorway Lane from the junction with Farmlands Lane, as well as the Millennium Wood.
In July one man, Andre Bushay, 34, of Suffield Road, High Wycombe, was charged with attempted murder over the incident.
Another man, Ismail Hussain, 22, of Sale Street, Derby, was charged with conspiring to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life/enable another to do so, and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, at the same time.
Now seven other men have been charged with conspiring to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life/ enable another to do so, and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. They are: Danial Riasat, 23, of Outram Road, Oxford; Abdullah Mohammed, 24, of no fixed abode; Omar Ali, 22, of Saunders Road, Oxford; Zaini Riasat, 24, of Outram Road, Oxford; Numaan Hussain, 26, of Stone Hill Road, Derby; Hamza Shahzad, 23, of Chestnut Avenue, Derby and Mohammed Zen, 25, of Stone Hill Road, Derby.
They have all been released on bail ahead of a hearing at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on October 15.
