Another 15 deaths related to coronaviru­s

THERE have been another 15 deaths linked to Covid-19 recorded across Derbyshire in the past 24 hours, according to data released by NHS England last night.

In the same time period, another 361 cases of coronaviru­s have been reported across Derby and the wider county.

The Government said a further 691 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the UK total to 68,307.

It said that, as of 9am on Tuesday, there had been a further 36,804 lab-confirmed cases of coronaviru­s in the UK.

It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 2,110,314.

In Derby, there has been a rise of 95, bringing the total to 9,315.

Elsewhere, there were increases of 49 in South Derbyshire, 31 in North East Derbyshire and another 48 in Amber Valley.

Almost all of the fatalities were reported at Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, with 13 recorded The other two were noted at Chesterfie­ld Royal.
