A HAUNTED teddy bear’s visit to a castle in Derbyshire has become an international web hit.

Mr Ted was taken to the historic Bolsover Castle, famed as one of the most haunted in the country, where three volunteers agreed to spend the night with the spooky soft toy.

The three women slept inside the castle with the bear sat perched on a chair next to them while paranormal expert Jo Lockwood watched on from a nearby room.

The team lost connection to a camera as the clock struck 3am and entered the “witching hour”.

The night was filmed for TV and during the experiment, a features producer came down with a mystery illness and had to visit A&E.

The teddy belonged to a psychic medium, Debbie Davis, who allowed ITV’s This Morning to test the toy to see if it was really haunted or not.

She claimed it had given people nausea and they heard it “growling”.

Now the incident has sparked worldwide attention after being featured by a social media star.

A Canadian Youtuber, who has millions of followers on the popular TikTok app, has discovered the story of the haunted teddy - even though she got some of the facts confused.

According to international TikTok star Jessii Vee, the bear lives at the castle – even though it was only taken there for the TV filming.

The TikTok account looks at creepy and disturbing stories from around the world. In her video, Jessii says the bear is locked up in a box wrapped in chains in the famous Derbyshire castle – terrifying staff members. But the truth is a little more mundane.

After its Bolsover appearance, the spooky bear was buried in a secret location 30 miles from its Manchester owner’s home.

That has not stopped Jessii’s followers pushing the story to become a massive web hit.
