Drivers given points for speeding

THE following motorists had their licences endorsed with penalty points for speeding by Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court.

■■Leroy Mills, 64, of Taddington Road, Chaddesden, was fined £545 and given six penalty points for speeding at 53mph in a 30mph limit in Pastures Hill, Littleover, July 7.

■■Mark Baker, 47, of Plummer Road, Newhall, was fined £553 and given six penalty points for speeding at 60mph in a 30mph limit in High Street, Swadlincote, on September 27.

■■Sarah Bowen, 39, of Rimsdale Close, Sinfin, was fined £40 and given three penalty points for speeding at 64mph in a 50mph limit in Raynesway, Alvaston, on June 24.

■■Julie Butts, 51, of Nottingham Road, Spondon, was fined £146 and given three penalty points for speeding at 64mph in a 50mph limit in Raynesway, Alvaston, on July 11.

■■Ashley Campbell, 35, of Osmaston Park Road, Derby, was fined £220 and given three penalty points for speeding at 57mph in a 30mph limit in London Road, Derby, on September 19.

■■Trevor Chapman, 59, of Somercotes Hill, Somercotes, was fined £440 and given five penalty points for speeding at 96mph in a 70mph limit on the A38 at Coxbench, on July 19.

■■Dominic Chilinkski, 25, of Meerbrook Close, Oakwood, was fined £40 and given three penalty points for speeding at 39mph in a 30mph limit in Egginton Road, Etwall, on July 2.

■■Marvin Ferguson, 39, of Burchwood Avenue, Littleover, was fined £58 and given three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Blagreaves Lane, Derby, on July 9.

■■Mohammed Jan, 45, of Ivy Square, Derby, was fined £133 and given four penalty points for speeding at 43mph in a 30mph limit in London Road, Derby, on August 11.

■■Shakil Karim, 49, of Swadlincote Lane, Castle Gresley, was fined £146 and given three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Common Road, Church Gresley, on July 6.

■■Antony Meese, 58, of College Street, Long Eaton, was fined £96 and given three penalty points for speeding at 47mph in a 40mph limit on the M1 at Tibshelf, on July

4.

■■Natasha Hussain, 25, of Stenson Road, Derby, was fined £300 and given six penalty points for speeding at 52mph on a 30mph limit in Blagreaves Lane, Littleover, on April 30.
