Motoring offences

THE following people were all dealt with by Southern Derbyshire Magistrate­s Court for motoring offences.

■Lewis Melladay, 32, of Bentley Street, Derby, was fined £220 with £90 costs, a £32 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for driving without a valid licence in Coach Road, Codnor Park, Ironville, on July 29.

■Samantha Musk, 31, of Craythorne Close, Newhall, was fined £220 and was ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for driving while not wearing a seat belt High Street, Newhall, on July 1.

■Ahmed Idris, 35, of Werburgh Street, Derby, was fined £120 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £32 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without insurance, a valid licence and without wearing protective headgear in Madeley Street, Normanton, on January 8, 2020.

■Tarabega Marim, 23, of St Thomas Road, Normanton, as fined £440 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £44 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six points for driving without insurance or a licence in Pear Tree Crescent, Pear Tree, on July 4.

■Floren Lefter, 27, of St Thomas Road, Normanton, as fined £660 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £66 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without insurance in Village Street, Derby, on July 2.

■Kevin Blood, 39, of The Crescent, Ashbourne, was fined £200 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £34 victim surcharge and was disqualifi­ed from driving for a year for driving while over the limit for cannabis and without insurance in Markeaton Lane, Derby, on May 26.

■Alex Hill, 23, of Standlow Lane, Kniveton, Ashbourne, was fined £350 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £35 victim surcharge and was disqualifi­ed from driving for three years for failing to provide a sample of breath for analysis in Market Place, Ashbourne, on September 19.

■Lee Porter, 34, of Maple Drive, Chellaston, was fined £400 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £40 victim surcharge and was disqualifi­ed from driving for two years for drink-driving in Maple Drive, Chellaston, on March 12, 2020. A test saw him give a reading of 180 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of blood when the legal limit is 80.
