IT’S A CLUTTER DISASTER
rubbish piled high to the ceilings, maggots in the fridge and rat droppings on the carpet, the life of one hoarder in this documentary is shocking to say the least.
For the past two decades, 61-year-old Paul has crammed his Bath cottage with junk and barely has room to move.
The entire house is a no-go zone, but Paul has finally admitted it’s a problem and agreed he needs help.
“I’ve fallen into the trap of hoarding,” says Paul, whose hoarding was triggered by ill health. “It’s a distraction.”
He adds: “I’ve lived for the

Channel 5, 9pm last 16 years in my bedroom and I just want to get out. I need to use the rest of the house.”
Extreme cleaners Caz and Tee arrive to help, but with everything from flies and rat urine to gone-off food, this will be their toughest assignment yet.
Meanwhile in Middlesbrough, Susan and Robert’s hoarding has got out of hand.
Sue, 54, grew up with parents who were hoarders and is frustrated that she has folWITH lowed the same path.
She says: “My family home was disorganised chaos. I grew up in mess. I didn’t know what a tidy house was. Enough is enough.”
The couple, recognising the problem, call in extreme cleaner Joe. The skip arrives. But that’s just the start – will they be able to let go of their junk?
Elsewhere, film makers catch up with another Paul, whose house in Crosby was filled with clutter, but was finally cleared last year.
