Disagreement with this Bill is criminal

-

A BILL is hopefully set to be passed to give police more power to tackle crime, a Bill which is years overdue, and this causes a riot?

Anybody who does not go along with the message being sent out by this Bill can only be seen as a criminal, someone who is quite happy to see crime, disorder, and lawlessness generally increasing every year.

How can any decent person object to a Bill which has been drawn up with the sole intention of reducing crime, disorder and lawlessness unless they are criminals with something to lose?

The riot, and the behaviour of the thugs who were present, is sufficient proof that the Bill is desperately needed.

As for the people who were there to protest in a peaceful way, assuming there were some, what is their problem? Are they some of the civil liberties or human rights brigade who perhaps believe the police should have no powers at all? If so, shame on that lot too. Are they happy to see our police officers seriously injured whilst attempting to carry out their duties?

I did not hear about even one rioter being injured. Why not? Do the police face disciplinary action if they dare to injure some thug who is trying to kill or maim one of them? I would not be at all surprised because that is just how stupid we have become in this country.

Finally, as much as I respect our Prime Minister, how can he be comfortable referring to the rioters behaviour as unacceptable when it was nothing short of anarchy. Unless we address this disgusting example of lawlessness, then the country will become subject to mob rule. Roll on the passage of the Bill.
