-

A DERBY pervert was found to have made an internet search for “the paedophile’s guide to love and pleasure”.

Christopher Eaves also downloadewd sick child abuse images of girls as young as two years old during a spell of offending that lasted a number of years. The more serious ones, which typically show adults engaged in sex with children, were of girls as young as six.

Handing the 40-year-old IT worker a six-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, Judge John Burgess said: “These images are real children being abused. It’s the market that drives the abuse of children and people make money from it.

Eaves, now of Hilltop, Oakwood, previously pleaded guilty to three counts of making (downloading) indecent images of children.

Laura Hocknell, mitigating, said: “He was going through a difficult time with family bereavements and was living an isolated life. He is filled with remorse, horror and shame at the sort of lifestyle he got himself into.”

As part of the suspended sentence Eaves must undertake 35 rehabilitation sessions with the probation service. He was also handed a seven-year sexual harm prevention order and placed on the
