THE partner of a man who died following a car crash has released a heartbreaking tribute to him.
James Hopkinson, 29, died after the BMW he was travelling in collided with a wall in Heanor on Saturday.
In a statement, Mr Hopkinson’s partner said his family, including his young daughter, were devastated by his death.
Kirsty Guilar said: “James was the type of person who would do anything for anyone. He worked non-stop but always made time for his family. We will miss him so much.”
A BIKER from Derbyshire has died in a crash in North Wales.
Police have confirmed a 52-year-old man from the county died after an incident involving two motorcycles on the A5 on Tuesday.
The second motorcyclist, a 61-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he was yesterday said to be in a stable condition.
The incident took place on one of the main roads through the Snowdonia National Park, near to Betws-y-Coed, at around 1.30pm.
The road was closed for seven hours while emergency services, including the Welsh Ambulance Service, Welsh Air Ambulance and North Wales Police, dealt with the incident.
Temporary Sergeant Liam Morris of the Roads Policing Unit for North Wales Police said “Our sincere sympathies go out to his family, friends and loved ones at this very difficult time. Specially trained officers are currently supporting his family.
“The investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision and we are appealing to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.”
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said at the time: “We were called to the A5 near Penmachno, Conwy, on Tuesday 7 September at 1.36pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving two motorcycles.
“We have sent a rapid response vehicle and the Wales Air Ambulance to the scene.
“One patient was transported by road ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital.”
