Motorists are punished for road offences

THE following motorists were dealt with at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court for driving offences.

■■Luke Tams, 27, of Windermere Gardens, Long Eaton, was fined £120 with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge and banned for a year for driving while over the limit for drugs, while uninsured and without a licence in Longmoor Gardens, Long Eaton, on July 17, 2020.

■■Sharna King, 27, of Hazel Tree Close, Ripley, was fined £120 with £110 costs, a £34 victim surcharge and banned for six months for careless driving in Rykneld Road, Kilburn, on August 28, 2020.

■■Philip Webb, 41, of Talbot Street, Church Gresley, was fined £210 with £120 costs and a £34 victim surcharge and given three penalty points for careless driving on the A50 westbound, at Sudbury, on October 1, 2020.

■■Brett Outten, 35, of Embankment Close, Derby, was fined £461 with £110 costs and a £46 victim surcharge and given eight points for driving without insurance in London Road, Derby, on September 18, 2020.

■■Ako Amin, 30, of Crewe Street, Normanton, was fined £120 with £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge and given eight points for driving without insurance or a valid licence in Charlotte Street, Derby, on February 9, 2021.

■■Stanislav Bendik, 51, of Leacroft Road, Normanton, was fined £660 with £85 costs and a £66 victim surcharge and given eight points for driving without insurance or a valid licence in Normanton Road, Normanton, on February 9, 2021.

■■Amelia Bird, 24, of Elvaston Drive, Littleover, was fined £104 with £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge and given three points for speeding at 37mph in a 30mph zone in Havenbaulk Lane, Derby, on February 13, 2021.

■■Yelena Borzykh, 49, of Buckthorn Close, Stenson Fields, was fined £120 with £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge and given eight points for driving without insurance or a valid licence in Osmaston Road, Derby, on February 4, 2021.

■■Lauren Morgan, 37, of Park Lane, Weston on Trent, was fined £220 with £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge and given six penalty points for driving while using a mobile phone on Swarkestone Bridge, on February 16, 2021.
