Screamfest is back... and ‘will be bigger and better than before’

-

A HALLOWEEN event has announced its line-up for 2021 ahead of its return next month after not taking place last year due to Covid.

Screamfest Resurrected is set to take place at the National Forest Adventure Farm, in Tatenhill, from October 15 on 13 selected dates through to Halloween on October 31.

The event is set to feature more than 100 live actors spread across five Halloween-themed attractions, including two new indoor mazes.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with the attractions beginning at 7pm.

Ivor Robinson, one of the co-owners at the farm, said: “We’re delighted that Screamfest has been resurrected after having a year away and it’s going to be even bigger and better than before, filled with even more entertainment, and new scares.”

The two brand new scare mazes are called Creed Farm and Le Theatre Noir. Creed Farm will feature the dysfunctional Creed family in the moonlit maize maze, who are inviting guests to experience the harvest for themselves. Le Theatre Noir has been described as “a Victorian theatrical all-sensory performance” where, for one night only people can “witness a ritual for your soul”.

They will be joining returning mazes Freakout on tour, Hillbilly Joe’s Zombie Zoo and Love Hurts. Mr Robinson added: “We really want people to have a great night out filled with screams and laughter. That’s why in addition to the five scares we’re putting on more live acts and entertainment throughout the night. It’s sure to be our scariest year yet with non-stop frights guaranteed throughout the night!”

There will also be street food sellers as well as a live band and DJ, fire acts, contortionists, street performers and entertainers. Tickets are available from £21 and must be booked online in advance. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
