Zoom calls continue as interested parties ask about Rams
DERBY County’s administrators have held “long ocnversations” with potential buyers and will have more of them today.
Speaking before last night’s game, Carl Jackson, of business advisory firm Quantuma said: “We have spent the afternoon on zoom, we have had two fairly long conversations with interested parties.
“We have two more calls tomorrow (Thursday).
“We continue to get genuine interest. We are sending out non-disclosure agreements as we speak. We have an an awful lot of interest.
“We will get some interest from entities who haven’t got the financial wherewithal, I mentioned that last week, but looking at the list I have seen there are some very credible entities.”
Meanwhile, the administrators have confirmed that up to 20 jobs have gone at the club.
Andrew Hosking, also of Quantuma, said: “Work is ongoing to assess the position of Derby’s operations and finances.
“Through the course of overseeing an administration process it is to be expected that we will need to make difficult decisions and it is with regret that we have had to announce a number of redundancies amongst non-playing staff.
“We are currently working with the staff members affected to ensure they receive the necessary support at this difficult time.
“Discussions with the EFL are ongoing regarding the future of the club and we will continue to work tirelessly towards our objective to secure a credible buyer for Derby County.
“We continue to invite interested parties to make themselves known to us, in order to ensure that we maximise the number of credible parties interested in the club and protect the interests of creditors.”
