Artisan market at Haddon

Haddon Hall has announced that its sixth annual winter artisan market will take place this month, spanning two long weekends.

From Thursday, november 18 to 21, and november 25 until 28, the Tudor stately home in Bakewell will be transforme­d into a festive haven and host more than 70 stalls.

Guests can explore a range of traders including jewellers, artists, wood-crafters, and candlemake­rs between 10am and 5pm each day.

The market will be situated from in front of the stables into the lower courtyard, the banqueting hall, the long gallery and finally through the elizabetha­n gardens.

some of the traders at the event include Whiskers and Wildflower­s, which makes felt toys, sillverwar­e seller Christophe­r Perry, Jomo Living, which specialise­s in homeware, and the illustrati­on company Mary’s House designs.

Peak Paws and Hooves, which creates unique dog and horse accessorie­s, will also be among the traders at the event, along with Wristwood, who craft handmade wooden watches and amber Valley Vineyard and Wilford’s Fudge.

Visitors can also expect to enjoy an array of street food vendors scattered around the estate. some of the dishes on offer include toasties, vegan food and pies, mince pies, crepes, pizza, hot drinks and mulled wine. Haddon Hall will also be operating their restaurant as normal.

The venue will be decorated and visitors can experience the festive atmosphere created by music, winter scents, twinkling lights and unique décor to bring each room to life.

entry is £7.50 per adult, and accompanyi­ng under-16s can attend for free. all tickets must be pre-booked online through their website. on-site car parking is available at no extra cost.
