Emily joins Vibrant at ‘exciting time’

-

AN award-winning accountancy and business advice company has welcomed its eighth team member – more than doubling in size over the past 12 months.

Vibrant Accountancy, in Duffield Road, has welcomed 22-year-old Emily Cooper as its client service support.

The former Trent College student will assist with tax and support Vibrant’s growing client base at the business, which was named Best New Firm at the Accounting Excellence awards recently.

She joins co-founders Ian Ball and Beverley Wakefield, Samantha Carter-Roe, Vibrant’s chief bookkeeper, office co-ordinator Lynn McCabe, Emma Vicars, who is head of accounting, Lauren Hiller (head of tax) and Zoe Bishop, who joined the team in September as a senior accountant.

“I have heard so much about Vibrant Accountancy and am absolutely delighted to be joining the team,” said Emily, who is a keen netball player and plays for various clubs including Castle Donington NC, where she is treasurer.

“Finance is something which I’ve always had a keen interest in. I studied business at A-level and did work experience at Cooper Parry, who have their head office in my home town of Castle Donington.

“I joined Tax Assist in Shepshed in 2018 and finished my AAT in February; I see joining Vibrant Accountancy as a chance to further my career and I’m looking forward to meeting clients.”

One of Emily’s first jobs was to help put up and decorate the office Christmas tree which, she says, was a great ice-breaker and a chance to get to know her co-workers.

“We all got stuck into decorating the tree and making the office look festive and I liked that; it was a real team effort,” she added.

Beverley said: “Emily joins us at a time of growth and will be an integral part of the team who will be working on an exciting new project which we’re delighted to be involved with.

“Emily is experienced but we want to encourage her to grow, too; we’ll be supporting her as she takes her Chartered Accountancy exams in the new year.

“These are exciting times for Vibrant Accountancy and Emily compliments our team perfectly.”
