Hunt for treasure or have a ball as 2021 reaches its Peak

-

RIGHT on Derbyshire’s doorstep is the Peak District, and there is plenty to do in the National Park between now and the New Year.

From music events, to pantomimes, there is a little bit for everyone to enjoy.

Although many enjoy the festive period for some well earned down time away from the regular slog of a 9am-to-5pm, here are some ideas to keep yourself busy over the holidays should boredom start to set in.

ALADDIN PANTOMIME AT BUXTON OPERA HOUSE RUNNING UNTIL JANUARY 1

Visiting the panto is a staple of any British Christmas, and coming to Buxton this holiday season is the play version of the Disney classic.

With glittering stage sets, colourful dance routines and unforgettable comedy moments, Aladdin at Buxton Opera House is the ultimate Christmas panto treat.

VIRUS SAFE OUTDOOR PEAK DISTRICT TREASURE HUNT UNTIL DECEMBER 30

The Great Game Treasure Hunt Peak District is a unique outdoor treasure hunt, based at Carpark Speedwell Cavern, Winnats Pass near Castleton.
