LIAM Rosenior says Derby County are “really close” on a couple of new signings as their impressive recruitment drive continues.

The Rams have already made seven additions this summer with Brighton defender Haydon Roberts being their latest arrival on a seasonlong loan. Derby have been linked with moves for Cardiff striker James Collins and Brighton midfielder Dale Stephens as they continue preparations for the new season.

Efforts to bolster the squad will continue this week with the Rams having also taken Jake Rooney, Kwaku Oduroh, Kevin McDonald and Ryan Glover on trial. Rosenior says he is closing on the latest couple of additions, but did not give their identities away.

“We are close on a really couple of targets we have been working on, but I won’t give anything away,” he said. “I am delighted with the business we have done and the phone is going to be busy for the next couple of weeks.”

Among the seven captures made so far are former Aston Villa pair Conor Hourihane and James Chester, while David McGoldrick also joined the club after leaving Sheffield United.

Rosenior says new owners Clowes Developments have been “brilliant” and wants to repay them for saving the club.

Clowes, owned by lifelong Derby fan David Clowes, have made an impressive start, having backed the array of impressive transfers so far and got the season tickets on sale.

“They’ve been brilliant,” said Rosenior.

“They’ve been in, they’ve been visible and I’ve had really good meetings with David.

“I know he wants to build this club in a sustainable way which I think everyone is really happy to hear.

“First and foremost, we are all just so grateful to him and everyone that he works with that they have saved the club. Now it’s our job to repay that.”

To underline the feelgood factor, the club has sold more than 10,000 season tickets since they went on sale last Thursday. There has been a remarkable demand for season tickets and the club broke the five-figure barrier just two days after they went on sale.

Meanwhile, there have been further changes to the Rams’ status at Companies House.

Last week, there was a name change to the company used by Clowes to purchase the club. It was officially renamed as Derby County (The Rams) limited.

There has now been a further update with name changes to companies that make up the club. The register shows The Derby County Club Limited, which is the actual club, has been changed to DC Realisations 1 Limited.

Other related companies to see their names changed are Stadia DCFC Limited, Club DCFC Limited and The Derby County FC Academy Limited.
