DERBY County are still looking to bolster their squad with further additions, having made 11 signings after Clowes Developments completed their takeover.

But the rebuild is still continuing with Derby having taken several players on trial this summer with Kwaku Oduroh the only one so far to have won himself a deal at Pride Park.

Kevin McDonald, who featured in the win over Bradford City, is still with the club but has a slight niggle and he was in the stands to watch the Rams’ 1-0 victory over Hertha Berlin.

Former West Ham winger Amadou Diallo is also at the club and played the second half of the 1-0 defeat to Stevenage on Tuesday night.

Derby are continuing to assess their options in the transfer market and here we have a look at four players who are still free agents.

Jamal Blackman (goalkeeper)

Having spent nine years at Chelsea, the goalkeeper had an excellent education at Stamford Bridge before leaving for Los Angeles FC last year.

He has had some high-profile loan spells during his career, Sheffield United among them.

Blackman, who has been linked with Port Vale, moved to Leeds in 2018, but a broken tibia early in the season saw him return to Chelsea in order to work on his rehabilitation.

Has played League One football before with Wycombe Wanderers where he played 42 games and was named young player of the year.

Derby have already signed Joe Wildsmith and Scott Loach but are on the lookout for another goalkeeper to provide competition and Blackman would not break the bank.

Martin Kelly (right-back)

The former Liverpool defender left Crystal Palace after spending eight years at the club and is now in the hunt for a new club.

Derby are believed to be looking for an experienced full-back but the options available on a free transfer do not particularly stand out. Phil Bardsley was linked with Derby earlier this summer and is still available after leaving Burnley.

But Kelly, at 32, has plenty of Premier League experience and also brings the added bonus of being able to play centre-back. The only problem is that Liam Rosenior will like his full-backs to attack, which has never really been one of Kelly’s strong points. However, in terms of his defensive capabilities, he is right up there. Could be an excellent short-term option for a year.

Josh Murphy (winger)

Has been on trial at Reading as he looks to remain in the Championship but it has since emerged they will not be offering him a deal.

He is now facing a race against time to find a new club and Derby have been looking at wingers in preseason with both Ryan Glover and Amadou Diallo having figured in pre-season games against Bradford and Stevenage.

Cardiff City paid £11m to Norwich City to sign Murphy but he endured a nightmare loan spell at Preston North End last season, where he failed to start a single game.

He could do with a move that is going to get his career back on track, having proved that he does possess undeniable quality.

Where better than Derby under the tutelage of Liam Rosenior? He would have to fit into the budget, but would certainly add more strength in depth out wide.

Connor Wickham (striker)

The centre forward, like Josh Murphy, has been on trial at Reading but also will not be winning a deal with the Royals.

The striker was one of the hottest properties in English football after breaking through the ranks with Ipswich Town, leading Sunderland to pay £8m for him.

He was at MK Dons last season,
