End-of-terrace proves popular with website surfers
AN end-terrace house in Swadlincote is the most popular home in the town, according to property website Zoopla.
The home, in Brook Street, has three bedrooms and is selling on Zoopla via The Property Selling Company with a starting guide price of £135,000.
The estate agent said: “This period family home is deceptively spacious and modern inside.
“Situated close to a range of local schools, supermarkets, high street shops, restaurants and leisure facilities such as parks and a nature reserve, this property has much to offer.
“It also has good communication links including the A38 and the M1 motorway which are easily accessible.”
The house is situated just four miles away from the closest rail station in Burton. And nearby Hearthcote Road offers direct access into Swadlincote town centre, it says.
For families, the house is located 0.2 miles away from Church Gresley Infant and Nursery, which was named as a good school in its most recent
Ofsted inspection. Pennine Way Junior Academy, is also a “good” school, according to Ofsted. The average property price in Swadlincote over the last 12 months was £205,789 according to Rightmove.

Property prices in Swadlincote are also much cheaper than the UK national average.
Property values increased by 12.8 per cent annually in May, accelerating from an 11.9 per cent increase in April. This pushed the typical house price to £283,000 in May, which was £32,000 higher than a year earlier, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Last month, mortgage lender Halifax said the average house price reached £294,845 in June after rising by 1.8% – the steepest monthly increase since 2007. Halifax said a lack of available homes for sale was lifting prices as well as a shift towards people buying larger, detached homes.
