RAMS RATINGS

-

JOE WILDSMITH:

Didn’t have much to do in the first half as the Rams largely kept Blackpool at arm’s length due to the strength of the centre-backs. Made a superb save from Sonny Carey’s free-kick. 7/10

KANE WILSON:

Charged forward down the right and was a good outlet in an attacking sense. Defended solidly too. Plays without fear which is why the head coach loves him. 8/10

CURTIS NELSON:

What else is there to say about him that hasn’t already been said? He’s just a very solid defender who seldom panics and has been so consistently good. Put his body on the line to deny Kyle Joseph. 8/10

EIRAN CASHIN:

Got bravely stuck into his headers, made a couple of quality crossfield passes and had another fine performance alongside Nelson at the back. Made a huge block the end. 8/10

LOUIE SIBLEY:

Defending needs a bit of work but in his defence he is not a left-back by trade. Clipped a couple of balls down the line and just kept on being in support where he could. Went close with a shot. 6/10

EBOU ADAMS:

The midfielder continues to be the darling of Pride Park Stadium as he produced another strong performance which was rubberstamped by one of the goals of the season. Was a midfield maestro who had everything. Superb. 8.5/10

KOREY SMITH:

Worked hard in the middle of the pitch alongside Adams and while he did not really catch the eye on the ball, he did a lot of unselfish work. 6/10

JOE WARD:

Swung in a couple of superb crosses. The way he whips the ball in shows that he is blessed with incredible technique. Was intelligent with his running and worked so hard. 7/10

COREY BLACKETT-TAYLOR:

Passing was a bit hit and miss but when he isolates defenders, he certainly has the ability to beat a man and has that spark that scares defenders. Was lively. 6.5/10

NATHANIEL MENDEZ-LAING:

Curled one effort from the edge of the box which was tipped around the post by Daniel Grimshaw. Worked hard down the middle of the pitch. 6/10

CONOR WASHINGTON:

Made some intelligent runs and was put through on goal in the second half in what was a huge chance for the striker but he shot straight at the goalkeeper. 6/10

SUBSTITUTES JAMES COLLINS (WASHINGTON 71):

Great to see him back and he was so wily in winning free-kicks. 5.5/10

LIAM THOMPSON (BLACKETTTAYLOR 71):

Ran his heart out when he came on. 5.5/10

TYRESE FORNAH (SMITH 82):

Battled away when he came on. N/A

CONOR HOURIHANE (MENDEZLAING 82):

Came on and helped see out the win. N/A

MARTYN WAGHORN (WARD 90): Helped run the clock down. N/A
