Anna Menderak talks us through her stunningly colourful portrait
ABOUT THE SHOT: This stunning photo was taken at a Boho Indian workshop organised by a group of people from Jurajskie Warsztaty, a group of enthusiast photographers in Poland that frequently meet up to share their passion and learn together.
Photographer Anna Menderak explains that her bright lens offered her great image quality and says, “As a young photographer, I have not yet worked out many techniques. I’m just learning professional shooting.” However, it is clear to see that Menderak does indeed have a fantastic eye for a stunning portrait.
Menderak explains, “For me the most important thing is the exposure, light and the proper composition. But when it’s so beautiful and colourful on a summer day like this the photos almost take themselves. Just find the right place with the right model and take a good shot.”
She goes on to say that this image was not difficult to shoot as the beautiful place and model allowed them to take stunning photos.
Menderak reveals that she never presses the shutter unless she is completely satisfied with the aesthetic of the image, “The photo must fit my sensitivity.
I take a photo when I think that I like it and I can get a nice picture. I love nature, natural light and portraits. The key here really is the beautiful model, the lovely wreath on her head combined with the car contrasting with the environment.”
Her advice for aspiring photographers is to continue to learn and be modest in what you do, and over time you’ll be able to capture the best possible imagery.
