CANON 5DS Without a doubt my favourite camera is the canon 5DS. The quality is amazing, and the versatility, weight and balance of the camera makes it just the best. I have used medium-format cameras in the past but I find them to be a littl too cumbersome.

LENSES My go-to lens would be this canon 24-105mm, though I’ve also got a canon 24-70mm f2.8. I prefer working with the 105 because of the depth of field option. I also love using my sigma art lens 1224mm f1.4. It’s fantastic for shooting fashion and nudes, and it’s a razorsharp lens.

21ST CENTURY TRI-FLECTOR i use this in most of my shots. It has the ability to fine-tune reflected light to the nth degree which in turn gives total light control in the shadows and highlights.

LIGHTING in the studio I tend to use the Elinchrom 500 ELC Pro and Style RX 600 flash heads. I also have some older 1K packs, which are excellent because they are fitted wiath a 650watt halogen bulb, enabling me to shoot a lot of tungsten.

LIGHT MODIFIERS one of my favourite light modifiers is the Elinchrom octa 170cm. The equality and light spread of this unit is absolutely beautiful. it’s especially good for fine-art nudes as it produces a crisp, clean light. I also add a 100cm Elinchrom strip light on a small floor stand. This fills in shadows from the waist down whilst the Tri-flector give us these beautiful catchlights. It also fills darkness under the nose and chin areas.
