KEEPING YOUR STUDIO QUIET

Make the dog comfortable

-

Allow your subject to explore the studio before shooting, then position the dog on the platform. Make sure they get a reward for staying in position. Perform test shots to see how the dog reacts to the flash. Switch off the beep signal of your flash, which indicates that the strobe is ready, as this might spook the dog. When a dog is scared in the studio, it’s often because of the sound and not the light itself. Dogs mostly don’t even blink when being fired with flash.
