Nuffield link-up is hailed by Kilby boss Lauchlan

-

Martin Lauchlan reckons a new sponsorship deal with Nuffield Health will be“massive”for East Kilbride FC next season.

The Kilby boss is delighted to have the Kelvin-based gym supporting the club and believes having free use of all their facilities will stand his club in good stead for their Lowland League title push.

He told the News:“It’s fantastic to have the support of Nuffield.

“It will allow the boys to work on their strength and conditioning work and it will be really good in the winter months when games are called off to be able to take the boys there and keep them ticking over.

“It’s going to be massive for us and it’s great to see a local business supporting us.

“Everyone is pulling together to help us move up the leagues.”

Nuffield Health, who have a similar agreement with Junior side EK Thistle, will also organise the likes of spin classes and other workouts for the team.

The gym’s sales executive Sam Murray said:“We have provided EKFC with full memberships to all of their first players so they can use the club for training purposes, swimming pool, sauna and we will be running specific classes for the team.

“Everyone at Nuffield is thrilled to be involved with such a fantastic local sporting club.

“We are delighted to have them as part of our club, promoting health and wellbeing throughout East Kilbride and the community, supporting them in any way we can in their bids for success.”

The News has teamed up with Nuffield to offer our readers“No Joining Fee”if you join the gym between Thursday, June 23 and Monday, June 27.
