Ally launches EK season tickets

Ally McCoist helped launch East Kilbride FC’s season ticket sales last week as the club also unveiled their new headline sponsors.

The Rangers legend and local hero joined Kilby’s first team kit sponsors Strathclyd­e Commercial­s & Plant Limited, as well as fitness partners Nuffield Health to unveil the club’s all-new season tickets, which also offers fans discounts at club affiliated restaurant­s.

Season books, priced £75 for adults and £30 for concession­s, went on sale on Saturday ahead of Kilby’s friendly match with Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale and Coisty – a big backer of the News’stadium campaign earlier in the year – was delighted to help out his hometown team once again.

He said:“It would be fantastic if the local community can continue to get behind the club as they aim for promotion to the SPFL, and look look forward to the Community Stadium becoming a reality.

“I will certainly be at K-Park when I can to make use of my season ticket, and look forward to seeing the club thrive in the coming months.”

The season tickets will cover all 15 home Scottish Lowland Football League matches, all home Lowland League Cup, East of Scotland Cup and South of Scotland Challenge Cup matches.

Holders are eligible for priority purchase of East Kilbride FC home William Hill Scottish Cup match tickets and they will also be able to enjoy discounts at Barrocco and The Haystook bar/restaurant­s in the town.

Single admissions for 2016/17 matches have increased by a pound to £6 for adults and £3 for concession­s.

Meanwhile, Kilby are celebratin­g a sponsorshi­p deal worth £10,000 from Strathclyd­e Commercial­s & Plant Limited, which will also support Kilby’s developmen­t squad.

James Gaffney of SCPL said:“We are thrilled to become the kit sponsor for the senior teams at East Kilbride FC, in what promises to be another hugely exciting season.

“As the clubs goes from strength to strength and attempts to establish itself in the ranks of senior Scottish Football it’s great to be on board.”

Nuffield Health will continue to provide free gym membership for all first team players.

Kilby chairman Mark Horner said: “The backing we have received from Strathclyd­e Commercial is incredible, and will look after the whole kit requiremen­ts for our senior section, and we are so grateful for this new partnershi­p.

“The deal which has been agreed for the team with the Nuffield Gym offers the players the chance to use the first class facilities at the Nuffield club to aid their fitness, preparatio­n and recovery.”
