As Chair of the Disability All Party Parliamentary Group, I was also pleased to welcome our Paralympic Tennis Team to Westminster, to support the launch of Channel 4’s Paralympic Games and to discuss best practice issues with a disability delegation visiting from Serbia.
As an advocate of Motability, it gave me great pleasure to present local constituent Miriam Campbell with the keys to her new Motability vehicle. Miriam informed me just how crucial this is for her in terms of daily living tasks including vital hospital appointments.
I will be holding a session on Motability soon and would request that any constituent who is having issues with DWP to get in touch so that I can try to support you.

I was also delighted to support PCS Union this week, to welcome Rev John Brewster to Westminster and to sponsor an EDM on Benzodiazepine Awareness on behalf of a local constituent.
Finally, it was an absolute pleasure to accompany Stonehouse Record Breaker George Gray to the Queen’s Garden Party.
George has donated 160 pints of blood over his lifetime.
He is a local hero. He was also fabulous company, and on the day chatted to our First Minister before seeing Her Majesty and Princess Anne.
I will meet him again soon to present him with a commemorative photograph.
