Come rain or shine kids are happy at EK

-

From blistering sunshine to downpours, the summer weather doesn’t know what

to be doing − which means neither do we! So, the best plan of action is to have an indoor and outdoor activity organised to help keep the kids amused.

For those wet, damp days why not bring the kids to enjoy our free summer arts and craft activities that run until Friday (July 29).

From 10am to 3pm today (Wednesday) and on Friday, youngsters are invited to create a different goodie to take home.

This week’s theme is Monsters & Fairies, and there will also be face painting on July 27 and a special character at the workshops in Plaza Square on July 29 from noon till 2pm.

Once the kids have enjoyed getting creative, why not take them to an Odeon Kids screening? Running every week, they can enjoy big adventures on the silver screen for just £2.50 per person during the holiday period.

When the sun does decide to shine, why not plan a picnic? Bring the kids in to enjoy the workshops in the morning while you buy your supplies from the centre’s fantastic range of shops – picnic mats, plastic plates, cutlery and glasses and scrumptious food.

You’ll even be able to pick up some toys – from balls to water blasters – to make your picnic even more memorable from Toytown in Princes Square. The toy shop is brimming full with all the latest must have toys and games, as well as old favourites.

To help cover the cost of keeping the kids amused, why not enter our competition to win a £50 EK gift card?

This week’s winer is Gloria Miller, from East Mains, who will we hope have great fun spending her winnings.

For your chance to pick up a fabulous £50 EK gift card, all you have to do is fill in the voucher below with your name address and telephone number and send your entry to: Gift Voucher Comp, East Kilbride News, One Central Quay, Glasgow, G3 8DA. Good luck!
