Pet shop offers life saving classes now

- Loraine Howard

Pets Corner is offering their customers the chance to undertake a canine first aid course.

The family run pet shop, which has over 150 stores across the UK, teamed up with First Aid Support Training and The Canine First Aid Company earlier in the year to develop a specially tailored course, which was rolled out to all 600 Pets Corner staff.

An adapted version of the course focusing on canine first aid will now be offered to customers at four Pets Corner training centres in the UK located at Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, Poole in Dorset and Woking in Surrey.

Customers will be able to book to attend a half day course covering all aspects of canine first aid including minor injuries, shock and seizures and administering CPR.

Dean Richmond, Managing Director at Pets Corner, said: “Following the launch of our human and animal first aid course, and the successful training of over 600 of our staff earlier this year, we had numerous requests from customers who wanted to learn about canine first aid for themselves.

“I am delighted to now be making this a reality and giving our customers the opportunity to equip themselves with essential and lifesaving knowledge for their beloved animal family members.”

Courses will cost £55 per person.
