Teenhad indecent picturesof children

A vile East Kilbride teenager who admitted having a sickening stash of indecent images of children as young as three will learn his fate later this month.

Sentence was further deferred on the 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.

He previously pled guilty to taking or making indecent photos or pseudo photos of children between March 28 and November 11 last year.

Fiscal depute Callum Forsyth previously told the court his family’s home was raided after police received information that there may be indecent images of children at the address.

Mr Forsyth also said on examination of the teen’s laptop 17 images were found – 12 of which were classed as Category A – the most serious.

Two of these were still images while 10 were moving images.

One moving Category B image was recovered and four Category C – the least serious – were found.

Three of these were still images and one was moving.

The court heard that the female children in the images ranged from three to 15 years of age.

One vile moving image was of an eight-year-old girl performing a sex act on an adult and another video saw a 12 yearold posing suggestively while being touched by an adult male.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court Sheriff Shiona Waldron further delayed sentence until August 23.
