Win tickets for music festival

Strathaven is gearing up for its annual music festival - and we are giving East Kilbride News readers the chance to go to the party.

Hangarfest, which will take place across Strathaven on September 3, will see some of the top bands from across Avondale take to the stage.

Bands already confirmed to play are indie rockers Patersani, folk musician Graham Carter, and youngster Angus McAllister, with events taking place in pubs, galleries and other venues across the town.

First up on the day is‘Hangarfest in the afternoon’, which is free to enter with 30 acts playing in seven venues including The Weavers pub, The Epicentre, The Bucks Head, The Gallery, and the Waterside from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.

Then, wristbands will entitle you to go to‘Hangarfest at night’with shows at the scout hall and the Town Mill from 7pm until midnight

Wristbands cost £10 with all proceeds going towards the Adam Law communityT­rust.

Event organisers have invited readers along to the party, and you could win two wristbands, which will allow you access to night events across the town.
