Star Tracker standings

Craig Malcolm clung on to top spot in the Star Tracker, despite his Stranraer side falling to a 1-0 defeat to Airdrieonians on Saturday.

The Blues striker missed a penalty, but his two appearance points helped him stay clear of Partick Thistle midfielder Chris Erskine.

Just a point separates the two at the summit after Erskine scored a late goal for the Jags in their 2-1 defeat away to Aberdeen. In-form Erskine was surprisingly left on the bench for the trip to Pittodrie, but came on after 61 minutes. He appeared after

Aberdeen were 2-0 up and escaped losing points for the goal concessions.

Elsewhere, Neil Parry’s Alloa won 2-1 at home to East Fife although the Wasps keeper saw his appearance points by the goal concession, leaving him in third spot on six points. His team-mate Jamie Longworth is out injured and remains on one point.

Paul Woods helped Queen’s Park to a 0-0 draw with Brechin and that pushed him up to fourth place on four points. His colleague, Craig McLeish, is sidelined with a back problem and has yet to feature this term.

Meanwhile, Malcolm’s team-mate Mark McGuigan is up to minus one after gaining a point for a late substitute appearance against Airdrie, but it’s Frazer Kerr and Fraser Wright who make up the bottom two.

Kerr’s Stenny lost 4-1 to Livingston, while Wright is out injured for Dumbarton.
