This fund can make awards of up to £25,000 for local community projects across a range of categories such as supporting the elderly, health & wellbeing and community sport. Speaking about the launch, Dr Cameron said: “This is a great opportunity for local groups to apply for vital funding to support and grow their projects and services. With applications open until October 11 I hope that this will give an opportunity to those who are looking to secure funding. I am keen to help community groups in my constituency develop and help them secure grants and funding to allow them to continue playing a valuable role, and I hope that there will be successful applications from our area.” Applications can be made via www.aviva.co.uk/community-fund.
