As work nears completion at The Hub, EK, partygoers including Santa will be given a sneak peek of the new facilities as they enjoy some top class entertainm­ent this weekend.

The party will kick-off on Friday, November 18, when one of Scotland’s most recognisab­le DJs, George Bowie, performs a GBX ice disco at 7pm.

On Saturday, Santa Claus will arrive on his sleigh in Centre West at 11am before travelling through the malls to his glittering grotto.

There will also be a free screening of Brave at Odeon East Kilbride at 9.30am on Saturday and Clyde 1 will be hosting games and competitio­ns.

The party continues on Saturday evening with Scouting for Girls, The LaFontaine­s, and November Lights taking to the stage from 6pm to 9 pm.

On Sunday, November 20, live music starts to fill The Hub at EK from 2pm until 7pm.

That’s when the weekend party will be rounded off with even more music from singer Fleur East, Glasgow boy band Single by Sunday and X Factor star Sam Lavery.

Ian McLelland, Centre Director at EK, East Kilbride, said: “There will be plenty of additional entertainm­ent on offer for young and old over the party weekend.”

This week’s winner, Josephine Dutch, from Newlandsmu­ir, will be able to join the party while splashing the cash.
