Willie Fernie, the 1883 Open Champion, designed the original nine holes which opened for play in 1908.
The course was thereafter extended to its current 18-hole layout.
Membership of Strathaven GC gives you access to one of the finest parkland courses in the West of Scotland.
It has hosted a number of prestigious professional and international amateur events. Additionally, the USGA specification greens and excellent drainage means that golf can be played year-round.
Membership allows you to play competitive and casual golf in the company of others and gives you access to the purpose-built modern clubhouse facilities which play host to a number of social events throughout the year.
The spacious clubhouse incorporates changing rooms with lockers for members and visitors, conference Stunning facilities, and comfortable bar and restaurant areas where members receive up to 10 per cent discount.
