Contest for club members
Strathaven Camera Club had its second internal competition judging of the year last Thursday and the night was well attended by members.
The judge for the second event was George Monaghan of Drumchapel Camera Club. It was a digital projected image competition with the theme of agriculture and the results were as follows:
1st, Mother and Child, Heather Kerr; 2nd, New Life, Joyce Manson; 3rd, Baled, Andy Tye.
The club’s first internal competition judging of the year, delayed from September, was held on November 3.
The evening was well attended with a number of new members attending.
The judge was Betty Karwot and it was an open subject digital projected image competition and the results were as follows:
1st, Trout Fishing, Heather Kerr; 2nd, Hoping For a Safe Landing, Joyce Manson; 3rd, Common Sandpiper, Joyce Manson.
Watching the Sunset by Joyce Manson was highly commended.
Pier Stop Tighnabruaich by Terry Primrose and Frozen by Joyce Manson were both commended.
An image show presented by Nigel Clarke entitled “Images of Norway” is hosted by the club tomorrow night.
Members are reminded they should be selecting and printing their monochrome prints for the print competition hand-in on Saturday, December 10.
And there will be a print mounting demonstration on Thursday, November 24.
