Man’s body found in St Leonards house

A man’s body was found in a property in St Leonards.

Emergency services were called to an address in Easdale last Thursday evening after 28-year-old Mark Carr was discovered.

Police confirmed they attended to assist the ambulance service.

Friends of Mark have left messages on his Facebook page, with one post stating: “God Love you mate”. Another read: “Can’t stop thinking about you.”

A shocked St Leonards pensioner, who did not want to be named, told the News: “My son was friends with Mark.

“I used to see him getting on and off the bus quite often and he would always say hello and we would have a bit of a laugh and a joke with each other.

“He was just a big, easy going guy and I can’t believe he is gone.

“Everyone is absolutely heartbroken.

“I don’t think it has sunk in yet and my heart goes out to his family.”

A police spokeswoman said: “We received a call from the ambulance service at 7.03pm on Thursday.

“Officers attended a property in Easdale and paramedics were already on the scene.

“Sadly, a 28-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal as is the norm with all sudden deaths.

“There are no suspicious circumstances.”
